Jacky Jhaj: Child Predator Persists Despite Conviction
Jaskarn “Jacky” Jhaj, a convicted sex offender has, over years, continued orchestrating bizarre public stunts, including involving minors, since being sent to prison for sex crimes against children - actions that show no remorse and a clear pattern of predatory behaviour, an inflated ego, and a brazen need for attention.
A Pattern Of Harm
In 2016, Jhaj was convicted of sexual activity with two 15-year-old girls, after posing as a film producer and luring them to parties. He served four years in prison and is on the sex offender registry. Wikipedia+1
Around this time, Jacky recorded and uploaded a documentary about himself entitled “Dangerous Sexual Predator” to make it seem like it was released by the police - but really he orchestrated it himself. Showing early on his bizarre need for attention and disturbing pride in is predatory behaviour.
According to another, newer, YouTube documentary exposing Jacky’s crimes, Jacky uploaded this two hour documentary showing proof of the crimes he was accused of - engaging in grooming patterns and sexual activity with minors. The video was reportedly only removed from Youtube once The BBC had notified them of the contents. A video on a different channel even included secretly filmed footage of one of Jacky’s 15 year old victims that he was convicted of sexually exploiting. Real Life Is Wild - Youtube
Following his release from prison, his behaviour escalated into high-profile, socially provocative stunts, including hiring fake ‘fans’ to ‘greet’ him after leaving prison. He would make fake social media accounts to post these videos and other bizarre and concerning content. VICE+1
In 2023, Jhaj staged a mock “film premiere” in Leicester Square where children were instructed to “cry, far-reach, faint” as he interacted with them. 200 children and young women had been recruited, reportedly by reputable casting professionals, to play Jhaj's ‘fans’ at a fake film premiere in London's Leicester Square that year. Some were as young as six. Wikipedia+1 BBC
Jhaj was arrested again in June 2024 after being witnessed talking to young girls in east London outside a dance school. He also filmed them and took photos without the consent of them or their parents. Wikipedia+1
In June 2025, he was arrested at Disneyland Paris for staging a “mock wedding” to a nine-year-old girl, renting the park, and using a casting director to cast 100 extras under the guise of a “prestige wedding rehearsal” with strict confidentiality. Wikipedia+2
Reports suggest he used prosthetics, false identity documents, and elaborate staging to disguise his intent. VICE+1
He’s also been linked to incendiary stunts (e.g. a fake explosion near the O2 Arena, burning props, burning a BBC-branded lorry - all while naked and having a film crew film it all) in ways that raise both safety and spectacle issues. Wikipedia+2VICE+2
Why Parents Need to Hear This
Parents are often newcomers to the acting world. They don’t see the red flags because they don’t know what they look like - and who would ever assume a convicted sex offender could still be holding auditions with children? And yet Jhaj was able to hold auditions for his stunts, and follow through with the public display undeterred.
But the truth is: this industry has no universal safeguarding framework. If you are a parent of a child performer, you cannot rely on the system to protect them. That responsibility falls on us - on due diligence, questioning everything, and prioritising safety over opportunity.
You also, unfortunately, can’t rely on the authorities either. According to this documentary exposing Jhaj’s crimes and grooming of children, Jacky would turn up to a local secondary school and wait in his car to pick up multiple teen girls to drive them around - eventually escalating to assault and rape. This was allowed to continue for far too long - under the noses of teachers, faculty members, parents, and the police. There are even allegations of him turning up to a fight with school children with a gun. Once Jacky was arrested, he received only four years in prison and has gone on to continue orchestrating stunts, casting sessions, and public events involving children - showing no remorse for his past offences.
It is imperative that you do not take casting calls or those who claim to be ‘producers’ or ‘directors’ at face value. Do your due diligence, research, ask around. Especially if castings do not come through the proper channels. Even if they do - we can’t assume those casting for a project know the ins and outs of who is orchestrating them. If something feels off to you, or you see evidence of prior wrong doing or unsafe behaviour - LEAVE. You are not unprofessional or ruining your child’s career opportunities by being cautious. No potential job, audition, or “big break” is worth risking a child’s wellbeing. If the environment feels wrong, if safeguarding isn’t clear, or if secrecy is demanded, walk away.
What We Can Learn
If you are an actor, parent, or young performer:
Red flags to watch for:
Secrecy or unusual restrictions (e.g., “confidential rehearsals” or “don’t tell anyone about this project”).
Casting calls that do not come through official, verifiable industry channels.
A lack of contracts, safeguarding measures, or child performance licences.
Pressure to participate in extreme, confusing, or humiliating exercises.
Warnings, posts, and chatter about malpractice regarding anyone on the team you are auditing for/working with. (There is often no smoke without fire!)
What to remember:
If you feel unsafe or unsure, you can walk away. Leaving doesn’t make you a “bad actor” or uncommitted - it makes you safe.
Transparency and safeguarding are non-negotiable. Any legitimate casting or training space will welcome questions.
Parents: you are not being “difficult” by asking questions or saying no. You are protecting your child.
Jacky Jhaj’s continued ability to operate is not just the story of one man’s crimes. It’s the story of an industry with gaps wide enough for predators to walk right through.
Until regulation, oversight, and cultural change catch up, we must remain vigilant. Parents and actors alike must remember that their safety is more important than anything else, that we can’t rely on the industry to keep us safe, and that speaking up, questioning, and walking away when things don’t feel safe is how we protect ourselves and others.
As far as we are aware, Jhaj has been held in pre-trial detention in France since June 2025 - following the Disneyland marriage stunt. Jhaj was already wanted by UK authorities for breaching “a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders’ Register notification requirement,” a Met Police spokesperson said. However, that doesn’t mean we can rest easy. Until Jhaj is locked up for good we can assume he will attempt to continue his predatory, dangerous, and concerning behaviour.
If you see posts from Jacky Jhaj, or anyone you suspect might be him or using his methods to exploit children please report to your local police station, the London Metropolitan Police, Equity, and post far and wide online to warn others.
